Dwellio is designed to inventory your home, not your personal data. Here's exactly how your information is handled.
When you scan items, your photos are sent to the Google Gemini API through our Cloudflare Worker proxy for identification. The proxy exists solely to protect our API key and performs no logging, storage, or processing of your photos. Once the AI identifies items in your photo, the photo is discarded from the server. Your photos are stored only on your device and in your iCloud.
We use Google's Gemini API on a paid plan, which means your data is not used to train Google's models. For details, see Google's Gemini API Terms of Service.
All of your inventory data, including items, photos, warranties, tags, and settings, is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never passes through our servers.
Dwellio does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or other personal information. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user profiles.
Dwellio does not include any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking tools. We do not track how you use the app. There are zero third-party SDKs.
Dwellio checks your inventory against the publicly available CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) recall database. These checks send item type and brand information to query the database. No personal information or photos are included.
Dwellio is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
