By downloading, installing, or using MTGRip, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Description of Service

MTGRip is a booster pack opening simulator for a popular trading card game. It allows users to simulate opening packs, collect virtual cards, and track their collection. MTGRip does not distribute, sell, or trade real cards. All cards are virtual representations for entertainment purposes only.

Intellectual Property Disclaimer

MTGRip is an independent fan project. It is not produced, endorsed, supported by, or affiliated with any trading card game publisher or rights-holder. All card names, artwork, set names, and trademarks are property of their respective owners. Card images are sourced from Scryfall's public API. Booster composition data is sourced from MTGJSON. This is created for entertainment and educational purposes only. No copyright infringement is intended.

Simulated Pull Rates

Pack contents in MTGRip are generated using simulated pull rates derived from publicly available booster composition data. These rates:

• Are approximations and do not represent official product odds
• May differ from actual booster pack distributions
• Are provided for entertainment purposes only
• Should not be used to make purchasing decisions about real products

In-App Purchases

MTGRip offers optional one-time tip purchases that unlock unlimited pack opens. All tips are non-consumable and non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies. Multiple tip tiers are available; all unlock the same Unlimited Rips entitlement. The tip never gates access to card content. Every card is viewable for free.

Affiliate Links

MTGRip contains links to third-party marketplaces (TCGPlayer) for purchasing physical cards. These links may include affiliate tracking. Lavai Labs may earn a commission on purchases made through these links. We are not responsible for the products, services, or practices of these third-party platforms.

Market Prices

Card market prices displayed in MTGRip are sourced from Scryfall. These prices:

• Are approximate and may not reflect current market conditions
• Are cached and may be outdated
• Should not be relied upon for purchasing, selling, or investment decisions
• Are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of MTGRip
• Redistribute or resell the app or its content
• Use MTGRip for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to manipulate pull rates or exploit the simulation
• Scrape or bulk-download card images from the app

Intellectual Property

The MTGRip app design, code, UI elements, and original content are the intellectual property of Lavai Labs LLC. Card images, names, and artwork are the property of their respective rights holders and are displayed under fair use for fan and educational purposes.

Limitation of Liability

MTGRip is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any loss of collection data
• We are not liable for inaccurate card data, images, or prices
• We are not liable for any purchases made through affiliate links
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for in-app purchases in the 12 months preceding the claim

Service Availability

MTGRip depends on Scryfall's API for card images and live prices. We do not control this API and cannot guarantee its availability. If the API is unavailable, some features may not work. Cached data and the bundled card database remain accessible offline.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date. Continued use of MTGRip after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict of law principles.
