Privacy Policy

The short version

PokeArtist has no accounts and no user profiles. Your collection is stored on your device and is never uploaded to us. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind, and the app contains no third-party SDKs other than the one that processes purchases.

What We Collect

Data stored locally on your device

• Your collection: the cards you have marked owned and the cards on your wishlist, stored in SwiftData, an on-device database
• Settings and preferences: theme, accent finish, sort order and similar display choices, stored in UserDefaults on your device
• A count of cards you have marked: used once, to decide when to ask whether you would like to rate the app. It never leaves your device
• Cached catalog and card images: the card catalog and downloaded card images are cached locally for speed and offline use
• Backups: backup files are created by you and saved where you choose — Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop. They never pass through our servers

Data processed by servers

The app makes network requests to fetch content. None of them carry your collection or any identifier we assign you.

• Card catalog: downloaded from a service we run at packs.pokeartist.com. The request is for a file; it contains nothing about you
• Market prices: fetched from a price service we run. Requests are made for whole sets rather than individual cards, so what we could see is which sets are being viewed, not which cards you own
• Card images: loaded directly from third-party image hosts. Those hosts will see your device's IP address, as they would for any image on the web. We do not send them anything else

As with any internet request, the servers involved may log IP addresses as part of ordinary operation and abuse prevention. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you, and we cannot connect them to a collection, because your collection never leaves your device.

Purchases

Optional in-app purchases are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, which records an anonymous, randomly generated identifier so that a purchase can be restored on your devices. We never receive your name, email address or payment details — Apple handles the transaction, and we only learn that an anonymous identifier is entitled to the unlock.

Ratings

The app may ask, once, whether you would like to rate it. That prompt is provided by Apple; the rating you leave goes to Apple, not to us, and we are not told whether you left one.

No Account Required

There is no sign-up, no login, and no way to create an account. We have no user database. Because there is nothing on a server to sync, restoring a purchase on a new device uses your Apple Account, and moving your collection uses the backup file you export yourself.

What We Don't Collect

• No analytics or usage tracking of any kind
• No advertising, ad networks, or advertising identifiers
• No crash-reporting or telemetry SDKs
• No name, email address, phone number, or contacts
• No location data
• No camera or photo library access — PokeArtist does not scan cards
• No cross-app or cross-site tracking, and nothing is sold or shared with data brokers

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share your data, because we do not have it. The only third parties involved are Apple (app distribution and payments), RevenueCat (purchase entitlements, under an anonymous identifier), and the image and data hosts described above, which receive nothing beyond an ordinary web request.

Data Deletion

Everything the app stores is on your device. Deleting the app removes your collection, your settings and every cached file. Settings also has a "Delete all data" control that erases your collection and every local backup the app made, without removing the app itself. Neither action can be undone, so export a backup first if you want a copy.

Children

PokeArtist is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Since the app collects no personal information at all, there is nothing to request the deletion of.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
