What We Collect
Riplist collects minimal data, and almost everything stays on your device.
Data stored locally on your device
- Collection data: your cards, wishlist, prices paid, notes, and photos you attach to copies are stored in SwiftData, an on-device database
- Settings and preferences: default condition, enabled games, and display options are stored in UserDefaults on your device
- Cached card images and catalogs: downloaded card images and card catalog updates are cached locally for performance and offline use
- Backups: collection backups are files you export yourself. They are saved where you choose (Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop) and never pass through our servers
Camera and photos
Card scanning happens entirely on your device. Camera frames and photos you import are processed locally to identify the card and are never uploaded, stored, or transmitted anywhere. Riplist only accesses the camera while you are scanning and only reads the photos you explicitly pick.
Data processed by servers
- RevenueCat: if you make an in-app purchase, RevenueCat processes the transaction and stores an anonymous customer ID to manage your entitlements. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or Apple ID. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Lavai Labs servers: market prices, price history, and card catalog updates are fetched from our own services. These requests contain no personal data and no account identifiers; standard server logs (IP address, timestamp) apply.
- Card image servers: card images are downloaded from third-party card data services. Your IP address is visible to those servers during requests. No personal data is sent.
No Account Required
Riplist does not require an account, sign-in, email address, or registration of any kind.
What We Don't Collect
Riplist does not collect, transmit, or store:
- Camera frames or photos
- Crash reports
- Advertising identifiers
- Location data
- Device fingerprints
- Tracking pixels or cookies
- Your name, email, phone number, or any personal information
There are no ad networks and no cross-app user tracking. RevenueCat is the only third-party SDK; it processes anonymized purchase events and an anonymous customer ID to manage your in-app purchase entitlements.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with anyone. Your collection never leaves your device unless you export a backup yourself. The only external communication is fetching prices and catalog data from our servers, downloading card images, and processing purchases through RevenueCat.
Data Deletion
You are in full control of your data:
- Delete Collection in Settings permanently deletes all cards, wishlist entries, and history
- Delete the app removes all local data permanently
- Backup files are yours; delete them from wherever you saved them
To request deletion of your anonymous RevenueCat customer record, contact us at the email below.
Children
Riplist does not collect any personal information and is suitable for general audiences. No account or personal data is required. We encourage parents and guardians to monitor app usage and in-app purchases.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Riplist after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
