All data is stored locally on your device:
Deck of Pain does not operate any servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure of any kind. There is no backend. Everything lives on your device.
Deck of Pain can optionally write workout data to Apple HealthKit. This feature is off by default and requires your explicit permission through both the app settings and Apple's HealthKit authorization prompt.
When enabled, the following data is written to HealthKit:
This data is stored by Apple Health on your device and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Lavai Labs does not read, access, collect, or transmit any HealthKit data. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, data mining, or any purpose other than recording your workouts in the Health app.
Deck of Pain does not require an account, sign-in, or registration of any kind. You download it and use it. That's it.

There are zero third-party SDKs in Deck of Pain. No Firebase, no analytics frameworks, no ad networks. Nothing.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with anyone. There is no data to share. Your workout data never leaves your device except when you explicitly choose to share results using the iOS share sheet.
You are in full control of your data:
Since we don't operate servers, there is no remote data to delete.
Deck of Pain does not collect any personal information and is suitable for general audiences. No account or personal data is required to use the app. We encourage parents and guardians to supervise younger children during physical exercise.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Deck of Pain after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
